Exactly. Great post, great analysis as usual.

Rights come at an immediate economic cost. But rights are intrinsic goods, meaning they have value in and of themselves. I also believe that when worker rights are upheld, they lead to a more productive workforce and that has economic benefits that may outweigh the costs incurred by increased disputes.
